CAKE SLICE BOX - Cricut Art Philosophy

So Sweet!.....
Here is a sneek peek of my newest project! These are cake slice
boxes. There are a lot of cake slice templates and loads of inspiration
out there on the internet, even one
made with the Sweet Tooth Cricut Cartridge with a removable lid. But, this lid stays attached and is made with the help from my handy dandy Art Philosophy Cartridge.
I am working on the tutorial for it, and should be available to you next week, here on my blog-so check back soon. To make a whole cake it takes 7 boxes, and yes the doily underneath the cake is
even made with the AP CARTRIDGE!
Would'nt this be great for teacher's appreciation, a little girls birthday
party, or even for a wedding.

Cricut -Paper Pieced Cat

The Art philosophy Cricut Cartridge is truly amazing! It may have 700 images, but the possibilities with those 700 is endless!  The cat evolved from the Bunny box that is on an earlier post. It is super easy to make. The cricut does everything for you. And dont you just love the little collar? Waiting for the right rub-on or something to put on it. I can see alot more critters coming soon. This was made from the same pattern as my Cricut Bunny...Which you can also find a card and a pillow box inspiration here on my blog..Lots of paper piecing goodness!

BRA CARD - Using the Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge

Create a unique BRA card using the Art Philosophy cartridge.
To make the shape I used the CARD option and the shape located on the top row 3rd from the right. This is the same shape used in making the Black cat which will be posted tomorrow here, or you can
visit here to see it now.
I cut the base at 4", the top layer at 3 3/4" and ran it through my cuttlebug to add some texture. To make the straps I used the FONT
layer and bottom row,2nd from the right to make the border piece, cut it at 3/4 inch and then fold in half. Layer the bra pieces together, attach the staps amd add some pretty button or bling. Leave a space on one of the top sides of the bra open so you can tuck a sentiment inside.
Cut the sentiment from a scallop circle at 3" and 2 3/4".
Attach your decoration to the center of your bra.
OOO-LA-LA!

Would love to see what you create!

Cricut Baby Bib Card

Some time ago I saw a baby bib card on Splitcoast Stampers,
and I wanted to try it using my Art Philosophy Cartridge from
Close to my Heart. THis cartridge is amazing!
Here's how I put it together...
Start with White CS and cut 2 scallop circles at 5",
Blue cut two 4 1/2" circles and ran it through a BIG SHOT and
textured it, I used Swiss Dots.
Lay the blue on top the white while then use a 2 1/2" punch
to take a chunk out of the top of the circle to resemble a neckline.
Sandwich the white ribbon in between the white and blue and secure
with adhesive.
Use brads to attach fron to the back at the top corners, and then
use a 1" circle to cover up the brads and attach a button to each side.
Attach the remainder textured blue circle onto the back to cover
the brad prongs. Embellish the front.

Easy Black Forest Cobbler

This is a recipe that my son uses in his Boy Scout Campouts.
They make it using a dutch oven over a campfire and it is a scout favorite. I changed it up just a little from the original based on what I had in my pantry at the time. I threw this together, and now it is our absolute favorite.

Black Forest Cobbler
1 snack size pkg brownie mix(walgreens or walmart has these)
1 can Cherry pie filling
1/2 C Semi-sweet choc chips
1/2 can diet coke or root beer, or Dr Pepper(yes, dont worry)
1 egg

Mix the dry brownie mix with the egg, and diet coke. Stir well till all mixed up. Put in a 9x9 greased pan. Add cherrys on top, leaving out
alot of the gel. Sprinkle the choc chips all over it.
Bake at 350 for 35 min.
Eat warm..yummmmmm!!!

Original recipe calls for 1 box of Choc cake mix, 1 whole can of root beer,
Can of cherries, and a Hershey bar broken up and sprinkled over the top. Bake at 350 or a dutch oven for campfires. Enjoy!

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop! This month we are highlighting the "Background and Texture Duos as Embellishments" Technique as shown on page 21 in the Spring/Summer 2012 Idea Book! This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.
We would love to see what you’ve created using this month’s technique, please visit our challenge blog at http://technicallyterrific.blogspot.com where you can share your projects and be entered in a chance to win great prizes. You will also find a listing of all participants and their blog addresses if you should get lost or want to reference a blog along the way. Let’s get started

If you are coming from Wendy's  blog http://www.myscrapbookingblog.com/, then you are on the right track!

                                      Fashionista Card

I put together this card using the new "Fashionista" stamp set
and created some Faux Brads. These are super easy to make with just
a hole punch and LIQUID GLASS, and it allows you to have custom
brads that match your cards perfectly!
See the faux brads here?
I also cut a piece of B&T paper to make her skirt more colorful.
There are LOTS of possibilities with this stampset. I even used
the liquid glass on her purse to make it look like shiny.

Now hop on over to Tonyas blog  http://heartandsoulscrappers.blogspot.com/ for more ideas.
