Cricut Compact Case Tutorial

Tutorial for making the Compact Case.

Here are all the pieces laid out to make one project..

I will be using the Cricut Art Philosophy booklet as reference..

    Supplies used:
Mirrored Cardstock (avail at Michaels or Hobby Lobby)
    My Acrylix Fashionista D1504
    Black Ribbon
    Circle Sticky Pad
    Bling
Embossing Folder, I used Aligator and SwissDots
    Cutting sizes
    • Colored Cardstock- 4" circles-3 times (emboss one)
    • Black Cardstock- 3-1/2 circle, 3-1/4 circle (emboss this)
    • Mirror cardstock- 3-1/4 circle
    • Black Cardstock- Capital "I" at 1-1/2" (page 38)
    • Black Cardstock- 4-1/2" Circle Card (this will be the compact case)(page 21)
                                             Assembly

Begin by placing the 4"colored CS you embossed, on top
of the circle card. Then layer with the 3-1/4" embossed
    black CS. (see left side?)
Layer the mirror CS on top of the Black 3-1/2" CS.
Attach both 4" colored CS to the inside AFTER you have
attached the little piece that looks like the compact closure.
Cut the Capital "I" in half and put one on the inside top,
and one on the inside bottom-lining them up.
If you dont want to attach the pen with
the elastic as I have, then skip this part and
just use a 3D glue dot.
I used elastic silver cord to attach my pen to
the cover. Do this by using a large eyed needle
threaded with the cord, and poke it from the
undeside of the cover first. Loop around and back thru to
the inside as shown. Place your pen in the loop outside,
and then secure with a knot inside.

Then go ahead and cover the knot inside with the
    Mirrored CS layered with black.
    Attach your sticky pad.
Stamp a sentiment onto the pad. For mine I used
    My acrylix D1504 Fashionista.
The "love who you are" phrase is perfect for
the person looking into the mirror!
Add a black bow and some bling!

CTMH Cardstocks I used to match the pens were:
Gypsy, Holiday Red, Ocean (discontinued)or Lagoon,
    and Cotton Candy.
